Poll Pay
honestly rated.
Surveys, game and app tasks in an app from the Prodege group, which also owns Swagbucks. The star ratings are high, the detailed reports less so: many screen-outs paying 1 cent, a high first threshold since the 2024 switch and checks that only show up at cash-out.
At a glance
For you if you tap through it on the side next to other sites, can wait for the first redemption and are fine with PayPal or vouchers.
Watch out for: Before the first redemption a phone check awaits, possibly an ID or face check, and many surveys end after minutes with 1 cent.
- Payout
- PayPal (name, email and address must match the PayPal account exactly; the PayPal account needs a linked bank or card) · Gift cards (tests name Amazon.de among others; the App Store text lists Amazon, Xbox, Netflix, iTunes; the help centre mentions Visa and Mastercard gift cards)
- Threshold
- First redemption from 1,500 coins according to the help centre (100 coins = 1 US dollar since 1 August 2024), which is 15 US dollars. In euros, a 2026 test and a Play review report 15 € for roughly 1,650 coins (Amazon.de). For PayPal in euros, one test says 15 € and another 25 €; the sources disagree. Before the switch, 2023 tests still said 10 €. A PayPal fee (formerly 0.50 €) is not mentioned on any current help page we could read.
- Timing
- According to the help centre PayPal takes up to 10 business days and gift cards 10 days on average; payments cannot be recalled. Trustpilot users describe a change (seconds in the past, two weeks in 2024), a PayPal payout pending for three weeks (2025) and a gift card arriving after three days.

Facts with sources
What the provider and reports actually say.
Every item has a source and a date. Where sources contradict each other, we show the conflict instead of picking the nicer number.
- Same group as Swagbucks
- Prodege acquired BitBurst, the maker of the Poll Pay app, in July 2022. The international Prodege terms list Poll Pay next to Swagbucks, ySense, Pollfish and BitBurst as “Prodege Sites”. Swagbucks sources therefore do not count as independent for Poll Pay. ↗
- Contracting party and law
- Prodege, LLC, California. Members outside the US are under English law with English courts unless local law requires otherwise; the terms point to the EU online dispute resolution platform. pollpay.app/terms could not be fetched; we read the wording on Prodege's own pages. ↗
- Publisher in the app stores
- Google Play names BitBurst GmbH, Lerchenweg 3, 40789 Monheim am Rhein. The German App Store names BitBurst GmbH, Merkurstr. 32, 42699 Solingen, with a contact email at prodege.com. We found no legal notice on pollpay.app (the fetch failed). ↗
- Coins and first threshold
- Since 1 August 2024 Poll Pay pays in coins: 100 coins = 1 US dollar. The first gift card needs at least 1,500 coins. Redeeming asks for phone verification; according to the help centre payments cannot be recalled. ↗
- Threshold in euros
- A test (August 2026) names 1,650 coins for a 15 € Amazon.de voucher and 25 € for PayPal. A tester (as of 14 Oct 2026) names 15 € for PayPal in euros and 25 US dollars in dollars. A July 2026 Play review also says 1,650 coins for 15 €. ↗
- PayPal requirements
- Name, email and address on the PayPal account must match Poll Pay exactly, and the PayPal account needs a verified bank or card. Processing takes up to 10 business days per the help page. A Trustpilot user (January 2025) says the new verification blocks PayPal payouts to an account with a different email; he took an Amazon voucher instead. ↗
- Identity check under the terms
- Before crediting or redeeming rewards the provider reserves the right to verify identity: with a photo of a passport, driver's licence or ID (also through a third-party service), a phone number or other proof. Members who decline can have the account deactivated or restricted. Whether Poll Pay actually asks German members for this, and when, is not documented. ↗
- Reports of a face capture
- A German test report (May 2023) quotes a Trustpilot review: someone who waited seven weeks for a payout was suddenly asked to allow a face capture. We could not see the original review live, and the part of the current Trustpilot page we read does not show it. No official help page on a face check was found. ↗
- Inactivity, expiry, no cash value
- Accounts with no login, redemption or new activity for 12 months may be closed. Unredeemed rewards have no cash value under the terms and remain the company's property; the provider may change expiry rules at any time. ↗
- Switch in August 2024
- The app was rebuilt; existing members were told to contact support for access to their old account and balance. Trustpilot users report lost balances and a mostly English interface for September 2024. ↗
- Rewards according to the provider
- According to the provider's site most surveys pay 50 to 500 coins (0.50–5 US dollars) for 3 to 25 minutes. Users and tests report that a screen-out usually pays only 1 cent. ↗
- Support times
- The help centre promises replies on a specific activity within 24 hours and up to 30 days for general requests. ↗
- Invite codes in reviews
- Trustpilot and the German App Store contain reviews with invite codes for a starting balance; two App Store reviews from 2023 and 2024 are identical apart from the code. That points to inflated star ratings. ↗

What we don't know for sure (yet).
- What is the first PayPal threshold in euros today: 15 € or 25 €? Two 2026 tests disagree and the help page only gives dollars and coins.
- Is there a PayPal fee? Older reports say 0.50 €, current help pages are silent, and one test says it is shown before you confirm.
- Does Poll Pay ask German members for an ID or face capture? The terms allow it and a 2023 Trustpilot quote reports it, but there is no current evidence.
- Minimum age: the help centre says 18, older German tests say 16. Is there a separate version of the terms for Germany?
- The help centre speaks of members “in the United States” and of cheques (Poll Pay Inc.), yet the app runs in German in Germany. Which help pages apply to Germany?
- No time-logged hourly figure exists for the period after the 2024 switch; the time-value score rests on the overall picture of reports.
- A Spanish site (April 2026) says the admitted countries have changed. Does that affect Germany? We found no sign of a restriction for Germany, and German reviews run up to July 2026.
