EchtVerdient rating

What public experiences say about Testbirds.

Legitimate and punctual, but the task volume is small and the hurdles, including self-employed status, are higher than sign-up suggests.

Overall5 of 5 categories · 12 sources · as of 16 Oct 2026
  1. Payouts

Does the money arrive reliably and on time?

    Moderate evidence

Most reports confirm on-time payment, but payouts run only twice a month and the help center admits delays of around 20 days at times. One case of more than two weeks of silence on a payment request is documented.

  2. Time value

What's left per hour once screen-outs, searching and waiting count?

    Thin evidence

Some individual tests pay well (23 € for about 3 hours, 10 € for 15–20 minutes), yet bugs only fetch 1–5 €, reports get rejected, and reviewers talk of pay below minimum wage. Recent, time-documented reports are missing, so confidence is low.

  3. Task supply

Is there regularly something to do in Germany?

    Moderate evidence

Sources from 2017 to 2025 all describe few invitations: one or two a month, with waits of weeks to months. The provider acknowledges this in its own FAQ.

  4. Getting started

How high are the hurdles to get going?

    Moderate evidence

A profile, a registered device and an entry test (which can take hours) are mandatory; whether it is paid conflicts (FAQ: no, older blogs: 5 €). Under the terms, payout may also require proof of a trade registration.

  5. Fairness & support

How fair are bans, rejections and support?

    Moderate evidence

The provider answers negative reviews, but reviewers report rejected submissions, an unpaid entry task and reply times of over a month. An older check of the terms came out positive.

What people often praise

  • German provider based in Munich, paying by bank transfer or PayPal
  • Some tests pay well per hour
  • Payments are mostly punctual per reviews

What people often criticise

  • Few invitations and long waits
  • Entry test, device list and possibly proof of a trade registration
  • Bugs pay only 1–5 € and reports can be rejected
Heads-up
  • Under the terms (§1, §5.3), testers count as self-employed, and payouts can depend on proof of a registered business or freelance status. This isn't legal or tax advice – ask a professional if you're unsure.

How the rating is made: we read public reviews, experience reports and tests and summarise them in our own words. We can't verify whether individual reviews on those platforms come from genuine users; the platforms themselves are responsible for that. Commissions have no influence on the rating. Visible reviews range from fair pay and reliable payouts to infrequent invitations, rejected bugs and technical problems.

Methodological limitation: This is a small, mixed sample. The topics were not counted statistically and are not general findings. Figure taken from the public profile; see the capture date above. When retrieved on 15 Oct 2026 the page showed the same figure, but its most recent visible review dates from 14 Oct 2025, so the figure is not confirmed as current.
