Freecash
honestly rated.
A Berlin-based rewards platform (a so-called offerwall, meaning a collection of paid offers from advertising partners) that mostly pays you to play mobile games through set levels, with surveys, app trials and cashback on the side. Most reports say payouts arrive quickly, but only after an ID and selfie check, minus fees, and at an hourly rate that usually stays in the low single digits.
Fits you if you play mobile games anyway, refuse to pay for in-game items and treat every cash-out as a bonus rather than a wage.
Watch out for: The headline amounts are for game levels hardly anyone reaches, and they depend on tracking: if it drops out at a well-paid stage or your account is locked at the ID check, the hours are gone.
- Payout
- PayPal (sent via the payout service Tremendous, 5–200 $ per withdrawal) · SEPA bank transfer in euros (Germany included) · Gift cards (Amazon, Google Play and Apple among them) and a Visa prepaid card issued in US dollars · Crypto: Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dogecoin straight to your own wallet · Credit to an account at the crypto casino Stake (promoted with a bonus)
- Threshold
- Per the help centre, your first withdrawal needs between 5 € and 20 € depending on your region; the provider's own German starter guide says 17 €, and German store reviews in 2026 mention 25 €. Taking the sign-up bonus raises what you must earn before that first cash-out, according to the provider. After that, only the minimum of the payout method applies, for example 5 € for PayPal.
- Timing
- The help centre says most withdrawals take up to 30 minutes, bank transfers up to 3 business days (the SEPA page says up to 5), and crypto usually lands within an hour of release. A security hold comes first, and the terms let Freecash hold offer credits for up to 90 days.

What the provider and reports actually say.
Every item has a source and a date. Where sources contradict each other, we show the conflict instead of picking the nicer number.
- Operator
- Almedia GmbH, Koppenstr. 8, 10243 Berlin, HRB 252752 B (Charlottenburg local court). The register describes the business as running a website that hands out vouchers for surveys and other advertising offers. German law applies. ↗
- One account per household
- You get one account per person and one per household. VPNs, proxies, emulators and virtual or throwaway phone numbers are banned, and so are bots and macros. ↗
- ID and selfie before your first cash-out
- Before the first withdrawal you confirm your email and verify your identity through Veriff: an official ID plus a selfie, so you need a camera. The terms also let Freecash ask for more proof later, such as proof of address or purchase records. ↗
- Fees
- The provider states a 5 % fee on PayPal, SEPA transfers and the Visa prepaid card. A comparison site testing with its own account reports flat charges on top (1 $ for PayPal, 0.90 € for a bank transfer), so 5 of credit turned into 3.75 $ or 3.85 €; Amazon and Google Play gift cards came through without a fee. One German App Store review says 10 € of credit paid out as 8.50 €. ↗
- Crypto and Stake
- Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin go straight to your wallet minus the network fee. Paying out to an account at the crypto casino Stake instead earns a 15 % bonus, according to the provider. Crypto withdrawals can't be reversed, and some exchanges ask who sent them (Almedia GmbH, Germany). ↗
- Tracking decides whether you get paid
- You are only rewarded for what Freecash or its partner records and validates, and sometimes the partner has the final say. The help centre asks you to use Chrome, allow ad tracking, stay on one device, drop ad blockers and pick only games you've never installed before. ↗
- Game offers in practice
- Most of what's on offer are mobile games with level targets. CHIP says time-consuming tasks often pay just cents, and bigger sums usually need high levels within a short window that many players only reach by buying in-app items. DIE ZEIT reports that Freecash can stop paying for a game after a while. ↗
- Pulled from the app stores, then back
- Apple removed the app on 13 April 2026, citing misleading marketing according to TechCrunch, and Google followed on 15 April 2026. Almedia denied the allegations. The provider says the app returned to Google Play in early May 2026 and to the App Store on 17 June 2026. ↗
- Misleading ads from affiliates
- In early 2026, TikTok ads promised up to 35 $ an hour for scrolling the feed. TikTok removed them for financial misrepresentation. Almedia said affiliate partners had made the clips and later dropped one partner from its network. ↗
- Privacy
- If you agree, Freecash reads your list of installed apps and, on Android, uses usage access ("PlayTime") to measure how long you play; some offers require it. Malwarebytes criticised the privacy policy, and Almedia says it collects no sensitive data and has since reworded the policy. ↗
- Bans without detailed reasons
- The terms let Freecash close accounts at its discretion and void unredeemed rewards. It doesn't have to reveal which signals triggered a ban, though the text says mandatory legal rights, such as a human review of automated decisions, still apply. ↗
- Inactivity
- After a year without logging in, the account may be closed, with at least 30 days' notice by email. Any remaining balance then expires unless mandatory law says otherwise. ↗
- Trustpilot (snapshot)
- 4.6 out of 5 from 327,768 reviews, 85 % five stars, 89,267 reviews in the last 12 months (page as of 17 Oct 2026 from a search index; the live page could not be loaded). The company actively invites reviews and replies to 99 % of negative ones. Trustpilot shows a notice that the business may be associated with high-risk investments. ↗
- App ratings
- Google Play (German view) 4.5 from about 539,000 reviews and 10M+ downloads. German App Store 4.6 from 36,752 ratings, rated 16+. According to TechCrunch, the iOS app previously ran under a different developer account and was renamed; whether its ratings carried over is unclear. ↗

What we don't know for sure (yet).
- What is the real first-withdrawal threshold in Germany? The help centre says 5–20 € depending on region, the provider's German guide 17 €, and users in 2026 report 25 €.
- Is the 5 % fee the provider names for PayPal and bank transfers all you pay, or are there flat charges on top, as one test and one App Store review suggest?
- Does DIE ZEIT's figure of 6.02 € after four hours cover Freecash alone or both apps it tested? The freely readable part doesn't say.
- How solid are the very high store and Trustpilot scores? Freecash actively invites reviews and TechCrunch mentions possibly fake ratings, but nothing has been proven.
- How does Freecash apply its one-account-per-household rule to flatshares and families? Several ban reports cite "multiple accounts" as the reason.
